It was learned by the reporter that our city will host a series of high-profile junior tennis events from May 24 to June 20, including the AFC Junior Tour 14 and Under Group A-level events, the ATF U14-A2000 clay court tournament, and the China Junior Tennis Tour U14/U12 A2000 clay court series, thus building an international competitive stage for Asian young tennis players.
As the “opening act” of this event cycle, the 2025 AFC Junior Tour U14-A (also known as the China Youth Tour U14-A2000 Clay Court Event 1) will be held in Nanchang on May 24 and last until May 31. This high-profile junior tennis event certified by the Asian Tennis Federation will attract nearly a hundred top U14 players from countries and regions such as China, South Korea, Thailand, India and Singapore to participate. According to the competition rules, the points system for the A2000 level will bring significant ranking improvements to the champion players and accumulate important chips for their professional tennis careers.
It is worth noting that the U14A level event of the Asian Tennis Federation Junior Tour, as a regional international competition, is expected to attract players from over ten Asian countries and regions, forming a platform for technical exchanges with diverse styles. Some of the contestants have demonstrated their competitiveness in international youth events, and some of the outstanding ones have even begun to compete in the ITF Youth Tour. The U12 category is mainly composed of domestic players. Its excellent reputation for the event has attracted overseas Chinese young players to “return to China to participate”, further enhancing the competition density and entertainment value of the event.
