On September 8, the Ministry of Commerce and 10 other departments jointly released the list of the second round of pilot areas for the full-scale promotion of 15-minute convenient living circle in the city. A total of 30 regions across the country were selected, and Nanchang City of Jiangxi Province was on the list.
To steadily advance the pilot construction work, the Department of Commerce of Jiangxi Province will make overall plans and organically integrate the pilot construction of the pilot areas throughout Nanchang with multiple tasks such as urban renewal, the pilot of modern commercial circulation system construction, the pilot of new consumption forms, models and scenarios, and the pilot of innovation and improvement in the retail industry, to form a favorable situation of coordinated advancement. Meanwhile, the Department of Commerce of Jiangxi Province will provide whole-course guidance and supervision to Nanchang City, requiring it to achieve full coverage of convenient living circles in the main urban area and qualified county communities within approximately two years.
During the pilot construction process, Nanchang will focus on the service demands of the elderly and children. Through measures such as optimizing the layout of convenient living circles, it will strive to create more age-friendly quality living circles that are suitable for living, working, traveling, shopping, the elderly and children, enabling citizens to enjoy more convenient, high-quality and diverse living services right at their doorstep.
