On October 29th, the Study Group of the CPC Nanchang Municipal Committee held a special seminar to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Central Urban Work Conference, accurately grasp the laws of urban development in the new era, closely combine the actual situation of Nanchang, build consensus on development, identify the direction of efforts, and pool wisdom and strength to enhance the core competitiveness of Nanchang City.
Li Hongjun, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee, Secretary of the CPC Nanchang Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Ganjiang New Area, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Gao Shiwen, Mayor of Nanchang City, Li Zhenfa, Director of the Standing Committee of the Nanchang Municipal People’s Congress, Xiao Yuwen, Chairperson of the CPPCC Nanchang Municipal Committee and other members of the Municipal Committee’s Study Group attended.
Li Hongjun pointed out that the core competitiveness of a city is related to its position in the regional pattern and directly affects the quality of people’s life. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, Nanchang’s development environment is undergoing profound and complex changes. We must always adhere to the principles of upholding the Party’s overall leadership, putting people first, promoting high-quality development, comprehensively deepening reform, combining an effective market with a proactive government, and balancing development and security. We should plan and set goals with a historical perspective, base ourselves on our own reality, and identify our comparative advantages. We will spare no effort and continue to strive to fully implement the provincial capital leading strategy and further promote the construction of “one hub and four centers”, continuously enhance the core competitiveness of the city, and create a new situation of high-quality development.
