On December 8th, a meeting for soliciting opinions on the “15th Five-Year Plan” from non-CPC personages in the city was held to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Focusing on the “15th Five-Year Plan” of Nanchang, the opinions and suggestions of non-CPC personages were listened face-to-face, pooling wisdom and efforts to achieve high-quality formulation of the “15th Five-Year Plan” that meets the requirements of the CPC Central and Jiangxi Provincial Committees, conforms to the actual development of Nanchang, and responds to the expectations of the people of the entire city.
Li Hongjun, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee, Secretary of the CPC Nanchang Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Ganjiang New Area, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Dang Jing, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Nanchang Municipal Committee, and municipal leaders Rao Shaoqing, Zhao Jie, Huang Qingyu, Xiong Zhigang, Wan Min, Xue Youwang and Wei Hongping attended.
At the meeting, officials from the Nanchang Municipal Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, the Nanchang Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League, the Nanchang Municipal Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association, the Nanchang Municipal Committee of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party, the Nanchang Municipal Committee of the Jiusan Society, the Nanchang Federation of Industry &Commerce, the Nanchang Association of Non-CPC Intellectuals, the Nanchang New Social Stratum Association, and the Nanchang Municipal Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy successively delivered speeches. The Policy Research Office of the CPC Nanchang Municipal Committee and the Nanchang City Development and Reform Commission made response speeches. Li Hongjun listened attentively, took notes, had in-depth exchanges with them, and required the relevant parties to carefully sort out and study their opinions and suggestions, and actively absorb and draw on them.
Li Hongjun pointed out that the “15th Five-Year Plan” period is a crucial time for laying a solid foundation and making all-out efforts to basically achieve socialist modernization. Grasping the economic and social development during the “15th Five-Year Plan” period is of great and far-reaching significance for us to seize opportunities, take the initiative, continuously enhance the core competitiveness of the city, and promote high-quality economic and social development. It is hoped that all democratic parties, the Federation of Industry &Commerce and non-CPC personages in the city will focus on their goals and tasks, center on the overall situation, actively perform their duties and responsibilities, and contribute more strength and demonstrate new achievements in seizing the momentum and continuously promoting the high-quality development of Nanchang.
