Only five spots were set for this national selection. Anyi Ancient Village became the only listed unit from Jiangxi Province, adding another significant national-level “honor” to the development of Nanchang’s cultural and tourism industry.
Anyi Ancient Village, with a 1,400-year-old cultural heritage, is closely connected by the three villages of Luotian, Shuinan and Jingtai. Over a hundred ancient Jiangxi-style houses from the Ming and Qing dynasties are scattered here and there. The melodious singing on the ancient stage has transcended the passage of time, and the vigorous branches of the thousand-year-old camphor trees touch the passage of time. Every scene is engraved with the rich Ganpo charm. As an important carrier for the inheritance of Gan (abbreviation of Jiangxi) culture, the historical and cultural value of Anyi Ancient Village has long been recognized by the industry. As early as 2014, it was successfully selected as one of the “Famous Historical and Cultural Villages in China” by virtue of its rich historical and cultural relics. Since then, it has successively won many national and provincial honors such as the National 4A-level Tourist Attraction and the National Demonstration Site for Agricultural Tourism, and has become a typical representative of the integrated development of culture and tourism in Jiangxi.
Being awarded the title of “The Most Beautiful Town” in China is not only a high recognition of its achievements in historical and cultural protection, but also a powerful confirmation of the effectiveness of the integrated development of culture and tourism in Nanchang.
