On December 15th, Gao Shiwen, Mayor of Nanchang City, presided over the 12th joint meeting between the People’s Government of Nanchang City and Nanchang Federation of Trade Unions, reporting on the implementation of the matters agreed upon at the 11th joint meeting, as well as the work of the trade union since 2025. After listening to the relevant work reports, Gao pointed out that ideological guidance should be strengthened. We must always adhere to the correct political direction, constantly innovate the ways and methods of ideological and political work, give full play to the role of the Party branch as a fighting fortress and the vanguard and exemplary role of Party members, vigorously promote the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor and the spirit of craftsmanship, promote the Party’s innovative theories into enterprises, workshops and teams, and create a strong atmosphere of respecting labor and striving to be advanced. We should serve the overall situation. Closely centering on the city’s 15th Five-Year Plan and the “8810” action plan, we will give full play to the leading and coordinating role of trade unions and the exemplary and leading role of master craftsmen and highly skilled talents. We will focus on the development needs of key industries such as electronic information, aviation manufacturing, and biomedicine in our city. Focusing on key groups such as zero-employment families, members of disadvantaged families, laid-off and unemployed individuals, migrant workers, and new forms of employment workers, we will vigorously carry out a series of “Trade Union’s Assistance in Employment” actions, promote the improvement of mechanisms for the cultivation, evaluation, utilization, and incentive of skilled talents, and provide solid talent support for building a modern industrial system. It is necessary to safeguard the rights and interests of employees, firmly establish a work orientation centered on employees, strengthen labor law supervision by trade unions, improve the diversified labor dispute resolution pattern of “trade union +N”, establish and improve trade union legal assistance workstations, and perfect the labor dispute litigation and mediation connection mechanism of “court + trade union + human resources and social security department”, so as to effectively safeguard the labor and economic rights and interests of employees. It is imperative to optimize service supply, adapt to the diverse needs of the working masses, expand the coverage of mutual assistance and security for workers, strengthen the integrated construction of “online + offline” service bases, deepen the integrated construction of “union, station and home”, enhance the construction of the trade union social worker team, and continuously create the “union” series of brands. We need to pool our working efforts. All departments of the municipal government should attach great importance to and support the work of trade unions, actively help trade unions solve practical difficulties encountered in their work, incorporate the situation of supporting trade union work into the relevant assessment and evaluation system, and promote the formation of a new pattern of trade union work featuring the leadership of the Party committee, the support of the government, the operation of trade unions, the participation of workers and the collaboration of society.
